Starting with the Middle Ages that brought rich banquets to the French Revolution, where refined techniques were used, French Cuisine can be called in the 21st century “haute cuisine”. It is as popular as the poetry or French arts, a meal at a restaurant comparing to “a sort of theatre you can eat”. Pastries are a large part of French cooking. Where Does an Alter Ego Come From?

Where does an alter ego come from? An alter ego is usually something that is created by people as something fun to do, or maybe your buddy decided that it would be funny to do some night when your thinking was somewhat impaired. We all have different sides to our personality, and it can be an escape from reality to come up with an alter ego. Think about what the alter ego has done for the genre of comic books, and how almost all the stories are based on the alter ego of otherwise mild-mannered people.

Sometimes an alter ego can be the result of a disease, and that is something that you would want to see a doctor about. Multiple personalities can come about if you have been in a traumatic situation, or you just have something that you wanted to forget, and it can just happen as the result of some type of disorder. Usually though, if you want to forget about your life, you might change your identity, or try to cover it up by trying to start a new life.
Alter egos aren't always bad though, and sometimes they can be used just for fun. I had an alter ego once, and it had nothing to do with any disease, it was just a character that I created in a video game, and so I decided to use it as an alter ego. When I was out at parties, or just really bored I would pretend I had a cape and go out fighting crimes, or just trying to grab a few laughs at the party. It was pretty stupid sometimes, but I had fun with it.
Who wouldn't want an alter ego? Wouldn't you rather be Superman as opposed to Clark Kent? An alter ego does represent a chance to try and be something that we aren't. Clark Kent is just some guy at a boring job, but Superman is a hero who saves his city when everyone else is asleep at night. Wouldn't we all like to be the guy who was able to stand up for the little guy, or fight crime without anyone knowing who you were?
An alter-ego is something that comes about as an attempted escape from reality. We all have different aspects to our personality, and sometimes we want to just have fun with it. We can't be boring, and uptight all the time, we need to cut loose and have some fun every so often. Sometimes we try to escape reality for serious reasons as well, and so we just create an identity that we use to try to wipe the slate clean, and live the life we want to.

Tips To Get More Twitter Followers

What You Need to Know For Maximum Exposure on Twitter. While the internet hasn’t been in existence for very long, its rate of development has been exponential. Of particular note is the rise of social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, LiveJournal, and Twitter. The massive popularity of these sites has led some to coin the term “Web 2.0” in reference to both the new interactive capacity and the new networking focus of the internet in people’s daily lives.
Twitter, as the newest popular addition to this group of sites, has become particularly important for those who work in e-commerce or internet marketing professions. To many in the advertising business, it represents an easy, cheap, and effective way to reach a massive audience. Read on to learn the best ways to create a huge group of followers on Twitter for any business purpose you can imagine.

Focus on content

While there are tricks you can use to get more followers, when it comes down to it, the main reason people will follow you is because they enjoy and appreciate your content. If you have nothing interesting to say or are simply spamming them with ads for your business or product, you will not gain followers and will probably lose those who gave you the benefit of the doubt.  One method is tofocus on what you are interested in or something truly unique you have to offer and work from there: people who search for the topic may find you and you can gain a base the old-fashioned way.
To help this along, it is good to use hashtags, albeit sparingly. A hashtag is a way of marking a keyword in your post. For example, if your specialty is PPC advertising, you may want to put a “#” mark before “PPC” in your tweets to mark it for easy searching. Not everyone uses hashtags, but they are popular enough to increase your followers.

Watch/Follow Top Twitter Users in Your Niche

Another approach would be to watch top Twitter users in your niche, use Twitter search to track hot discussions in your niche, and focus your efforts on those topics to generate a lot of user traffic. This method is more time intensive, as you have to continuously stay updated and come up with new topic specific/latest news type of tweets.

Advertise Your Twitter Page!

Advertise your Twitter account everywhere:  on blogs, other social networking sites, your business website, business cards, and even real-world business meetings and events. For every new follower you get from this sort of targeted traffic, you have access to a whole related network of people who will be naturally more inclined to follow you than the average web browser. This helps your followers grow through word-of-mouth, recommendations, and horizontal linkages.

Another small tip

In the process of doing all of this, don’t forget the basics.  Don’t tweet too much, or too many unrelated tweets, as you may lose your audience’s attention. Tweet about pertinent and interesting information, make sure you have a profile picture and  fill out your bio, and cater to what your audience wants to know.  You will gain and keep more followers in no time at all.

Mystery Photos Captured

Ghost Girl Mystery

In 1995, Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England, burned to the ground. Local resident and photographer Tony O'Rahilly was snapping photos of the fire when he captured this shot of what appears to be a small, partially transparent girl standing in the doorway. Is it a genuine image or a clever hoax?

Ghost in the Aisle?

This ghost cam photo was taken a few years ago, around Halloween, at approximately 2:00 am in the Willard Library, Evansville, Indiana. You'll see what look likes a small female standing in the aisle, in a knee-length skirt, with her hands clasped in front of her. You can also see what looks like two legs. It looks like she has white hair with pigtails and two large, dark eye sockets. At the time, I got the impression that 'she' was looking at the ghost cam and was aware that her photo would be taken. I'd also taken a few other shots at this time; it shows this image in the process of fading and apparently dematerializing, while nothing around the image changes.

Ghost Hand at Crescent Hotel

This picture was taken in March of 2002 at The Crescent Hotel located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We had previously been on the ghost tour three other times and nothing like this had ever happened. While on the tour near room 218 (an active room haunted by "Michael"), the closet next to the room opened up on its own, surprising everyone on the tour even the guide.

The closet had been locked earlier that evening, and when it opened up, no one was inside. We happened to be the closest to the door, about six feet away, and took this picture (with a digital jamcam camera) after the door had opened. We were surprised to see what looked like an arm and hand of supposedly "Michael" showing through the door in the picture. We are from Missouri and visit the hotel about 2-3 times a year, hoping to snap a picture of ghosts on film or catch them on video.

Crichton Castle Ghost

This picture was taken at the graveyard next to the Crichton Castle chapel in Scotland in May of 1995. The photographer was standing inside the cemetery, next to a wall and took a picture of the castle. He was visiting the grave of a dear aunt and his companion was wandering around the quaint cemetery asking this aunt if she was near and that this would be the perfect time to give her a sign. They had often talked about if one of them should go first they would indicate something to the one left behind. The photographer is a total skeptic and his companion was doing this silently.

When the roll of film was developed he was shocked and she was happily surprised. The negatives have been examined and nothing was amiss. The day was hazy with no cloud. The specks are dirt from my scanner. What do you think?

Ghost Boy

I'm a professional photographer and don't often get images that are out of place or screwed up. This image showed up in the summer of 2001 amidst some negatives I had shot for a pretty average job.

The strange thing is that although the house shown was my house at the time, the image had to be created long before I owned it. You see, I had the porch repaired and the door replaced before we moved in. The image had to have been created several years before I even owned the camera this came from. The strangest thing of all though, I have no idea who the child is.
